Innovator Support Services
About the ISS Program
Beyond funding, innovators face challenges that hinder technology advancement and adoption. To help address barriers to commercialization, ERA provides mentorship support to its funded small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through the Innovator Support Services (ISS) program.
This offering provides access to expert mentors who can provide advice and assistance with challenges such as funding and financial management, as well as strategies for human resource, market fit and go-to-market, business model scalability, product development, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, internationalization and exporting.
The objectives of the Innovation Support Services (ISS) program are to:
- Accelerate the investment readiness and commercialization readiness of ERA TIER funded technologies.
- Increase the economic competitiveness, growth and diversification of Alberta’s economy by supporting ERA TIER-funded companies to be successful and profitable in existing and new industries.
- Support the acceleration of technologies that support Alberta’s emission free future economy.
Joanne Pawluk, Senior Advisor with ERA, and Anike Edun, ERA’s Strategy and Project Coordinator, hosted a webinar on October 3, 2024, where they provided an overview of the ISS program including services offered, application and approval process, self-assessment tool, eligibility, and more.
