RoBIM Technologies Inc. is launching the Highly-modular, Intelligent, Versatile Ecosystem (HIVE), an advanced robotic fabrication platform designed to transform Alberta’s construction industry. Construction productivity in Alberta has stagnated for decades, as labour shortages, housing demands, and climate objectives increase. RoBIM’s HIVE addresses these challenges with a modular, scalable robotic system capable of fabricating a wide range of building components, such as wall panels and retrofit assemblies, with improved speed, precision, and material efficiency. The platform integratesRoBIM’s AI-driven software, which imports Building Information Models (BIM) and automatically generates robotic codes, with reconfigurable micro-factories that use multifunctional robotic arms and end-effectors.
RoBIM will establish Alberta’s first Robotic-Fabrication-as-a-Service (RFaaS) Fabrication Hub, deploy four production-grade HIVE systems, and validate their impact on greenhouse gas emissions, costs, quality, and productivity.
