This project aimed to reduce emissions resulting from producing ethylene, a feedstock used to make a wide array of polymers and industrial chemicals. Funded through Round 2: Industrial Energy Efficiency, Quantiam planned to develop and demonstrate their Catalyzed-Assisted Manufacture of Olefins (CAMOL), which reduces energy consumption by 8 to 10 per cent and emissions by 350 kilo tonnes every year. The funding relationship was ultimately cancelled.
