New Members Bring Extensive Experience in Sustainability and Economic Growth to Era Board

Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) is pleased to welcome Kevin Birn and Dale Swampy to its Board of Directors. Their diverse expertise and dedicated leadership in sustainability and economic growth will strengthen ERA’s mission to drive emissions reductions and foster innovation in Alberta.

Based in Calgary, Kevin Birn is a recognized leader in emissions quantification and decarbonization strategies. Kevin has held progressively senior roles at S&P Global and currently serves as the head of the Centre of Emission Excellence within S&P Global Commodity Insights. In this role he advises governments, companies, and industry on emissions accounting and sustainable energy practices.

Dale Swampy, a member of the Samson Cree Nation in Maskwacis, Alberta, has over two decades of experience in Indigenous relations and community development. He has successfully fostered partnerships between Indigenous communities and Canada’s natural resource industry. In 2016, Dale founded the National Coalition of Chiefs (NCC), which focused on “Defeating On-Reserve Poverty” through collaboration with the resource sector.
