The OTSG Oxy-fuel Demonstration Carbon Capture Technology is a means to develop a reliable, lower-cost solution to capture CO2 from once-through steam generators that can be used on a commercial scale for in situ bitumen production.
For this project, five partners, including Suncor Energy, constructed and operated a pilot plant to determine the operational challenges and benefits of the technology.
