The ENMAX group of companies provides electricity, natural gas and value-added services to residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout Alberta.

This project increased the deployment of rooftop solar PV retrofits across Alberta, built solar installation capacity by contracting with third-party installers and provided financing options for customers to install solar PV without large up-front costs and maintenance risks.

Through this project, solar panels were installed on more than 400 homes and facilities across Alberta. The sites include Calgary’s Southland Leisure Centre, which is equipped with 600 solar panels, and the Leduc Recreation Centre near Edmonton.

The project is estimated to reduce GHG emissions by more than 118,000 by 2020.
